Science Communicator | Career Educator |

I am a solopreneur helping multifaceted STEM professionals and organizations navigate transitions, identity shifts, and achieve purpose-driven growth.

I’ve been on the path of research and development for over a decade, from academia to industry diving deep into product development and chemical applications. I spent my days solving technical problems and collaborating across R&D and various teams. But I kept asking myself: “Is this all it?”

Earning a PhD and becoming a scientist is a stable, successful path that I believe in. And it is. But deep down, I knew I had more to offer. Not just in technical execution, but in connecting people, translating knowledge into action, and shaping systems that have a broader impact.

So I started to pivot.

I’m becoming someone who uses expertise with intention—doing work I believe in, creating value through relationships, and keeping space for life outside of work. It’s not a perfect arrival, but a steady becoming.

STEM Story

After walking my own path from research chemist to science journalist, mentor, and nonprofit program leader, I know how disorienting and rewarding change can be. I’ve been the first-gen scholar, the mom in the lab, the immigrant scientist learning to fit in and stand out, and a professional wondering if this is all there is.

Now, I bring together my experience in STEM, communication, and career development to support others through transitions, whether you’re shifting from academia and industry, designing a second-act career, or redefining what success looks like for you.

I believe in a future where individuals from all walks of life, regardless of where they started, feel empowered to craft a career and life that reflects their voice and vision throughout every life phase.

This is your career. Let’s make it feel like yours again.

Research

My path as a chemist was also multifaceted. Born and raised in Taiwan, I earned my BS and MS in chemistry, focusing on atmospheric molecules and lasers. Before pursuing my PhD in the US, I worked as a product development engineer in display technology. My doctoral research focused on semiconducting materials and advanced techniques (scanning probe microscopy, spectroscopy, and computation). I then joined a chemical company, working in analytical and polymer chemistry.

My academic publication can be found on ORCID.
